 A MEETING

Laura Saponaro and Hassan Bajaj: from the meeting of two neighboring worlds that overlook the two opposite shores of the Mediterranean, DOUNIA is born, a small Italian family company.
The common project of a new consumption model, more aware and sustainable, made of attention to people's work and respect for the environment.
An inclusive and curious journey in different countries of the world, through the discovery of knowledge and fascinating traditions, for the care of the body and the well-being of the person.
Naturalness, constant search for quality and sustainability are for us the true values of beauty, which we place at the center of all our choices.
All our cosmetics are the result of this project: small treasures, studied, tested, tried one by one to allow you to choose beauty, sustainability and well-being.
FROM THE EASTERN TRADITION THE PASSION FOR BEAUTY
The discovery of ancient oriental rites and traditions where beauty is the outward expression of balance and harmony with nature and with ourselves.
Knowledge about the wonderful properties of plants that have their roots in time,
transmitted from mother to daughter over the course of generations, crossing different civilizations until arriving
in our days without having lost their originality and above all their effectiveness. No exploitation,
neither man nor the environment.
The only type of contamination allowed is the cultural one, which integrates the ancient knowledge of the body of oriental and Mediterranean traditions with modern cosmetological skills.
ETHICAL BEAUTY

A precise desire for consistency: we choose those raw materials that are the fruit of the work of small producers or companies that promote social projects, respecting work and people's dignity.
They are purchased on terms of fairness and through direct and ongoing business relationships.
In particular, in Morocco our constant commitment is alongside the women of the Tighaminine cooperative, the first cooperative in the world to have obtained the Fair Trade certification for the production of argan oil. Their hard work, their determination makes it possible to improve the lives of their families, increase their autonomy, contribute to the education of their children. The women undergo training and literacy courses and constantly participate in programs for the preservation of the argan tree forest.
